Dr Michael Carter grew up in regional Victoria and completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2005. He gained early clinical experience at the Royal Melbourne Hospital before discovering his passion for Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital. He commenced specialist training in 2009, completing much of his training through the Royal Women’s Hospital and regional placements including Warrnambool. He later joined the OGB team to complete his fellowship training. Michael enjoys all aspects of women’s health care, with interests in obstetrics, infertility, laparoscopic surgery, and colposcopy. He values supporting women throughout pregnancy and beyond, and provides services across several regional hospitals.
