Extremely Disappointing Experience with Dr Yasir Khan

I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking an assessment with Dr Yasir Khan. Despite having multiple injuries, I received a 0% assessment, an outcome I find devastating given the impact on my life. I felt unfairly treated and that the seriousness of my injuries was not properly recognised. These assessments can change people’s lives, yet I was left feeling unheard and let down. I am deeply disappointed with my experience and question whether my circumstances were given the consideration they deserved. Behind every assessment is a real person whose future is at stake. Based on my experience, I would not recommend him.

If you want to be treated poorly, this Dr yasir khan is the doctor to see. He assessed my husband WPI at 0%, which I find extremely difficult to understand.

Less than 12 months earlier, another independent doctor—also arranged through the same insurance company—assessed my partner impairment at over 10% WPI. Now, without even a year passing, this doctor has assessed him at 0%. I genuinely cannot understand how an impairment assessed at over 10% could apparently disappear completely in such a short period of time.

The difference between the two assessments is enormous, especially considering both appointments were organised through the same insurer. In my experience, the assessment also felt rushed and unprofessional, and I did not feel that his condition, symptoms, treatment history, or previous medical evidence were properly considered.

I am extremely disappointed with the assessment and believe such a significant discrepancy deserves a proper explanation. I would strongly question how one independent assessment can find over 10% WPI and another, less than a year later, find 0%.

If your appointment has been booked with Dr Yasir Khan, General Physician, I would strongly recommend reconsidering it and asking whether you can change doctors before the appointment. Based on our experience, I seriously regret going ahead with the assessment.
